Just watched Order of the Phoenix on abc family (freeform) and this came on after the credits.
I probably would’ve burst into tears seeing that ❤

"- Emma Thompson on Alan Rickman (via miurt)Alan was my friend and so this is hard to write because I have just kissed him goodbye.
What I remember most in this moment of painful leave-taking is his humour, intelligence, wisdom and kindness. His capacity to fell you with a look or lift you with a word. The intransigence which made him the great artist he was—his ineffable and cynical wit, the clarity with which he saw most things, including me, and the fact that he never spared me the view. I learned a lot from him.
He was the finest of actors and directors. I couldn’t wait to see what he was going to do with his face next. I consider myself hugely privileged to have worked with him so many times and to have been directed by him.
He was the ultimate ally. In life, art and politics. I trusted him absolutely.
He was, above all things, a rare and unique human being and we shall not see his like again.

A few days ago we woke up, had breakfast, went about our daily lives…work, school, blog…not a care on our minds. Then we went to bed, slept, woke up and got the news. We will never be the same. No more red carpet pictures with those fabulous shirts; no out-and-about pictures with scarves and converse; no heart warming pictures of the man and his beautiful bride; no screen caps or interviews or stage productions or glares or grins or singing clips or captivating looks. It is the end of an era.
What it is NOT the end of is this fandom. Alan will NEVER be forgotten. His quirks…his smile…his sneer…his passion; he will forever be in our hearts.
Now that we have lost him in the flesh, let’s work hard and keep him in everyone’s hearts. He did so much for us! It’s the least that we can do for him.
